Friends of the Parkland Community Library

The Friends is a nonprofit organization that supports our library by making contributions to our library in the ways of materials, public programming, community outreach, and staff development. The Friends raise these funds by organizing events such as our Porch Sale, fundraisers, dinners, and the Annual Book Sale. They also operate our Alcove Book Sale.

April Porch Sale

Stock up on your spring reads and give to our library at the same time when you shop at the Friends of the Library porch sale on April 30th from 10am-5pm. Over four tables of books, DVDs, and CDs to choose from!

Rain date is May 1st.

Spring Flower Sale

Looking for the perfect gift for Mother's Day? Ready to start decorating your home for spring? Buy a beautiful flower basket or flower bed at our circulation desk from April 1st - May 5th and part of the proceeds will benefit our library.

Our Friends of the Library is selling spring flowers in the following types: hanging basket at $17 and flower flat at $14.

You can pick up your spring flowers at Lehigh Valley Home and Garden Center after May 1st with your coupon.

Book Donation Drop Off

Drop off your gently used CDs, DVDs, video games, games and books on our porch to our Friends of the Library on April 25th 10am-5pm.

Volunteers

We welcome new volunteers to become involved in our activities. Opportunities include working on our Friends Book Sale, fundraising, publicity, programming, and becoming a committee chair. Celebrate a Milestone with Friends

Milestones is a Friends of the Library program where you can honor your loved one or celebrate an event with a special book in our library. Our staff will use your monetary donation to select a title. Our Friends will supply special book plates to place in your books.
