Dinovember

November 2022, Welcome to Jurassic Parkland!

About

Celebrate Dinovember at your library! Dinovember was started in 2012 by authors Refe and Susan Tuma. The authors wanted to preserve their children’s sense of wonder and imagination in the digital era by bringing plastic dinosaurs to life. Dinovember has spread across the globe, igniting the imaginations of hundreds of thousands of children–young and old.

Resources

It is hard for some to imagine that 165 million years ago, dinosaurs roamed the planet. Humans have lived for less than two million years. Scientists have named this period in earth’s history the Mesozoic Era. At the time, the world looked very different from what we know today. Then, the land was one landmass called Pangaea or Pangea. During the Mesozoic Era, this supercontinent began to spread apart. The earth’s continents shifted dramatically, and new seas formed, leading to the evolution of plants and animals.
