Requests, Holds, and ILL

Request for Purchase

  1. Stop by or call our reference librarian at 610-398-1361 x7.  A librarian will take your contact information and the information of the item you request.  Requested items that are purchased will be held for the patron that suggested them. Requests are professionally evaluated using library selection criteria and the library makes every effort to satisfy patron requests but WILL NOT guarantee that patron purchase requests are fulfilled.

Place Holds

  1. Search catalog for your item.
  2. Click on the “Place Hold” button.
  3. Enter your library card number (on back of card) and then your PIN.


  1. Click on “My Account.” if on the library homepage.  If already searching the catalog, click on the "log in" link.  
  2. Enter your library card number (on back of card) and then your PIN.
  3. Click on your name (upper right hand side of the window).
  4. The Patron Information window will list any items you have checked out (under the "account activity" tab)
  5. Click on the "Renew Loan" button.

Inter-Library Loan

To get a book sent to Parkland from another library, please see or call the reference librarian.  The number for the reference librarian is 610-398-1361 X 16.  You may also use this online inter-library loan form to request a title. 

In order to get a book from another library, the title must not be owned by Parkland AND must be at least 1 year old.  Patrons are limited to three inter-library loans at any one time.
