About Shark Week

Shark Week debuted in 1988 and is now TV’s longest-running programming event. This long-standing event was created to dispel misconceptions about sharks and is devoted to conservation efforts to ensure their survival. The presence of sharks is a tell-tale sign of a healthy ecosystem.
