SummerQuest 2023

June 12-July 29, Summer Reading Challenge

All Together Now™, join us for another round of SummerQuest!

SummerQuest the summer reading program, allows all readers to experience everything the library has to offer! Registered readers will log completed activities to win our grand prizes. We hope you and your friends and family join us for events, games, book clubs, and more.

The library is the place to be this summer! We stand in solidarity with those advocating justice and equal opportunity for everyone. Libraries across the country are committed to empowering everyone in our communities to be free from discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, gender identity, or any other status. We do not condone hate, racism, and intolerance of any kind.

Benefits Of Taking The Summer Reading Challenge

Kids
(Ages 2-5th grade)

The SummerQuest Reading Challenge promotes literacy in readers of all ages. Children learn about communication, language, storytelling, and letters long before they learn to read and write; this is where early literacy comes in. Summer reading provides incentives for kids to keep reading and learning!

Teens
(6th-12th grade)

Summer is the perfect time to read for yourself! Get your own library card and explore new authors, stories, and topics of your choice! Your borrowing histories are confidential. PCL now has a self checkout station with easy prompts to get you through.

We offer cozy reading nooks around the library for relaxation and study. Pick a book and find your favorite spot to sit! The library is fines free on most items. So don’t worry if you cannot hitch a ride to return your book.

All Together Now™, we want to hear from you!

If you are looking for something not in our collection, ask a librarian to order it or make a purchase suggestion via our website.

Here at PCL, we encourage teens to be themselves without judgment. We have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying. We are looking for new ideas and would like to offer fun programs for you and your friends to join. Please share your thoughts with us!

At PCL, we make an effort to include teens and get them involved with programs, materials, volunteering, using online resources, streaming services, and of course, books.
