Teen Volunteers

Now Accepting Applications for Summer 2023

Shelvers & Event Assistants

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at PCL!

Get professional working experience and community service hours for your resume! We accept mature students entering 8th grade, age 13 and older, in the fall.

Each year, PCL offers seasonal volunteer positions. Volunteer positions allow teens to support the library community and gain experience working in a professional environment. The teen volunteer program can be listed on college resumes and counted as community service hours for schools, religious organizations, scouts, etc.

For questions about the program, email Teen Services at teens@parklandlibrary.org

Become a volunteer in two easy steps.

1) Download and fill out the digital application.

2) Email teens@parklandlibrary.org or drop off your application at the library.

*Previous teen volunteers must fill out a new application.

Once applications are received, applicants will be contacted via email for a brief in-person interview. Note: You only have to attend one of these interview dates.
Interview dates will be held on:

Monday, May 22, 4:30–6:30 pm
Tuesday, May 23, 4:30–6:30 pm
Wednesday, May 24, 4:30–6:30 pm

If the dates listed do not work, please email teens@parklandlibrary.org to schedule an alternative date for an interview.
