Storytime Registration

Thank you for your interest in storytime at Parkland Community Library. We are excited to continue offering our popular programs! We occasionally have breaks in our programs. This page has a complete list by age. Some storytimes require RSVP.

Due to high demand, drop-in storytimes are for LCLC and My First Library (Share) cardholders living in Parkland School District or paying non-residents.

No card?

Sign up at the front desk or online here.

Parking for Storytimes

Parking is available behind and in the side lot of the library. Please enter and exit the campus by way of Walbert Ave.

The gated road is for emergency vehicles only.

Parking is NOT permitted at the South Whitehall Township lots during library events.

Ticketing System for Drop-in Storytimes

Families may choose 1 storytime per day.

Both sessions are the same.

We have two classes to meet demand. Please request a ticket at the youth services desk. Red tickets are for the first session, and Orange tickets are for session 2.

**** Once the Event Full sign is on the door, attendees must wait for the second session.

PCL must follow the fire code. Room capacity limits will be strictly enforced.

After each session, staff will clear the room to allow those waiting to participate. Please exit the room after the session. Storytimes are held on a first-come, first-served basis.

Thank you for being so cooperative.

Some Storytimes require RSVP.

Family Music Storytime

Storytime Break: May 19-June 7

We will resume on Monday, June 10.

At PCL, we offer drop-in Storytimes by age group with a caregiver.

Baby Time (Birth-18 Months):

A lap-sit storytime for our youngest patrons designed to help babies build significant social, motor, and early literacy skills.

Family Storytime (Ages 1-5):

Songs, rhymes, and read-aloud stories for the whole family.

Toddler Tales (18 months-3 1/2 years):

Stories, rhymes, music & movement.

Preschool Ukulele Storytime (Ages 3-5):

It is best suited for children ages 3-5 who no longer put things in their mouths and have not yet started kindergarten. Enjoy a ukulele storytime with Ms. Audrey!  We will use musical instruments and scarves and end with parachute play.  Each storytime will help kiddos practice preschool skills.

Please Note:

Storytime sessions typically run for 7-8 weeks, depending on the season. There are short breaks after every season.

Storytimes Featurette

The Parkland TV and Film crew 2023-2024 put forth their exceptional storytelling capabilities to capture our library’s enriching storytimes, which serve as a cornerstone for early childhood learning and development.
