3 Month Update December
Weight: 300 pounds | Height: 38 inches
2 Month Update November
Weight: 230 pounds | Height: 36 inches
Fluff stays in her own calf hutch for the first 2 months after she is born. The calf hutch is like her own room. She will then move to group pens. Living in her own hutch helps her build a strong immune system before joining a group pen. She gets fresh straw to lie on every other day, which keeps her clean and warm. She drinks 1 gallon of milk each day. Calves are given an ear tag at birth for identification. Her herd number is unique to her, just like humans get their ears pierced.
1 Month Update October 2025
Fluff has grown 5 inches taller to 34 inches and now weighs 156 pounds.
Fluff was Ranked 24th

How Cows & Calves Stay Warm in the Winter: The weather outside may be frightful, but dairy cows are delightfully warm inside the barn! Did you know a cow’s ideal temperature is between 25°F – 50°F? Most barns are equipped with curtains that may be manually raised or lowered to protect against snow and wind. Soft sand or straw beds keep cows warm and dry. And sometimes calves wear calf jackets to conserve heat—much like we wear coats! Check out this lesson with photos & videos to learn more!
