New Arrivals
Greetings, library enthusiasts. Libraries across the nation were actively seeking alternative distributors to procure items for their collections.
Parkland Community Library has taken the appropriate measures and begun receiving the highly anticipated shipments. If you have fallen behind and have not been checking our new items shelves, you may not have noticed. eNews subscribers were given the first opportunity to view them.
Our new distributor, as you can imagine, has been overwhelmed with new orders and is working diligently to fulfill requests. We appreciate your patience.

International Day of Forests
March 21. PA Forward Civic and Social Literacy
The International Day of Forests on March 21 highlights the vital role of forests in environmental health and human well-being. They provide clean air, protect watersheds, support biodiversity, and supply resources. The day prompts reflection on sustainable forest management and the prevention of deforestation. The library urges patrons to participate by supporting forest conservation locally and globally—whether by planting trees, learning about responsible wood use, or understanding forest ecosystems. Staying informed and involved helps ensure forests thrive for future generations.

Wuthering Heights Fans
Perhaps the most haunting and tragic love story ever written, Wuthering Heights tells of Heathcliff, a troubled orphan, and his doomed love for Catherine Earnshaw. His love drives him to madness when she marries a wealthy lord, leading him on a lifelong quest for vengeance. Emily Brontë’s novel explores the conflict between heart and mind, pain and passion, creating a timeless saga of love, desperation, vengeance, and forgiveness. Published in 1848, a year before Emily Brontë’s death, it remains one of the greatest love stories and classics of English literature.
Patrons can check out the new movie’s smash soundtrack from Charli XCX on hoopla! Explore more Wuthering Heights content, including eBooks, audiobooks, and past screen adaptations.

Readers can easily access and enjoy these books on their portable devices. But as seasoned library visitors, you know we offer PowerLibrary, Libby, and hoopla to supplement our catalog books.
